Well, Its a huge achievement for me to stand in front of you guys because I think this would be my oppurtunity to show you all my modeling skills and my eagerness to enter this industry. I'm a type of a girl that doesnt have a confident, but when i started to joined this competition, It boost my inner confident to show my talent in modeling. I'm glad that i never regret to enter this, because i think this is my dream, and my dream is to be a supermodel someday. I'm working so hard to proved myself that i can do this. I would like to show to the people that asian people can really rocks. Because I love fashion. Being a model was my dream. As a little girl, I took at the copy of vogue my mom bought and look at the models in pretty dresses and copy them. I even sometimes go through my mother’s make-up and wardrobe, doing some model poses in the mirror. And even as I grew up, it is still my dream. |

I only just realized that Cara's stuff has been edited in and I am really exhausted, so elimination won't be until tomorrow night, sorry! Also, jennelyn, could you please narrow down Marcelina's outfits to 1 because I specified only a single outfit in the instructions?

Comments: How quickly can we get a contract over to this girl? She is an obvious cash cow, she's extremely marketable and showed way more versatility than any other girl. She was the stand-out of the day.

Comments: A very strong model both in photos and on the runway, but all 4 of her photos were Couture, and while we realize that's her Brand, versatility is key to being marketable and she didn't show us that.

JUDGING Liya: Hello lovely ladies, and welcome your fourth judging in China! We have already taken a look at the go-see results, which I will comment on in your critiques, so now let's take a look at the photos. Since this is the final 3 and I expect you all to be super impressive, you had a free choice photoshoot with only 3 frames to impress me. We shall start judging, per usual, with Cara. Cara - First of all, congratulations on shining in the go-see challenge, I was very impressed with your results. I'm not quite as impressed with this photo, it's definitely a strong one, but far from your strongest and it's a look I've seen from you before. You look great, every facial feature from your skin to your eyes to your lips to your bone structure are just lovely. I also like how clean this is, it shows that you don't need much styling to look fabulous. I don't like how you parted your lips though, and there's something a little off about your nose, it looks a smidge crooked. Overall great job, but not quite your greatest. Marcelina - Ooh, this photo gives me chills! It's very haunting and eerie, it looks like a still from a thriller mystery horror film. Your wide eyes are connecting so well with something in the distance, you look captivated or possessed by something out of view. My only problem with this is that it's a bit expected, and especially considering you lost so many points from your go-see for being too couture, I wish you had given me something different. And speaking of the go-see, I was a bit disappointed by your result, you scored far lower than the other two and it was mainly because you didn't listen to directions, which as you know has cost several girls their spots in this competition. Thuy - This is beautiful, it's like art and I'd love to hang it in my living room. I think you worked with that fabric phenomenally, it flows around you so well and you give it an interesting shape. Your pose is great, it's very graceful yet whimsical, and I love the arch in your back and pointed toes and thrown back head. My only negative is that it's a little difficult to recognize as you, but other than that I'm very impressed, and your go-see was fairly impressive as well. |

ELIMINATION Liya: Hello again lovely ladies, and welcome to your final elimination before the finale. Once again, my job was made incredibly difficult this week because all three of you are such amazing models and each of you brings something unique and different to the table. I had a lot to take into consideration this week, and though it has taken me a while, I have come to a decision. The fist name I am going to call is... THUY! You've been in a little bit of a funk since we came overseas, so I'm glad to see you stepped it back up this week. Congratulations, you are in the finale! Will Cara and Marcelina please step forward? Two beautiful blondes stand before me, but only one of you can move forward into the finale. But who will that be? Cara, you've been a consistently strong force throughout this competition, and you've especially been flourishing since we came overseas. This week you did the best in the go-see, but your photo left the smallest impression on me. Marcelina, you've also been quite a force throughout this competition, and you've especially flourished since we came overseas, receiving the past two first call-outs. However, you tanked in the go-sees this week because you failed to show versatility, and that's something your competitors have criticized you for as well. So who moves on to the finale? * flips photo* CARA! It would've been madness to eliminate you this week, you were simply here because someone had to be. Congratulations, you're moving on to the finale! *hugs Marcelina* Marcelina, you have one of my favorite looks of this competition and you've taken so many of my favorite photos, but you've also taken quite a few forgettable photos as well and really disappointed me at this go-see. Don't give up after this though, you've got a really talent and sparkle to you, and I think you can go so far in fashion if you really try and pay closer attention to your clients. And soon it will be down to 1, but to narrow it down, you've got a lot of tasks to finish with so listen up. 1. Estee Lauder ad: Clean, beautiful, calm, natural...keep those adjectives in mind, and remember to sell the makeup. 2. Vera Wang ad: Since we're in China, I thought it would be nice to celebrate one of the best known Chinese-American designers, so you'll be shooting an ad for Vera Wang. Regal, elegant, and poised yet also sensual are words that describe her ads. 3. Vera Wang runway: Then you'll also walking in Vera Wang's runway show, where I'd like to see similar elegant, poised, and regal walks. 4. Vogue Italia Cover: I bet you ladies were expecting Vogue China to be the prize, and while the winner will get a feature in that magazine, the main cover and spread will be of Vogue Italia because they want to shoot it on location in China. You ladies will be posing in front of the Qin Terracotta Warriors for the cover, and they want it to be very edgy, haunting, strong, and eye-catching. 5. Your own LemLem fragrance ad: As you ladies know, I have my own personal fashion line called LemLem, and each winner has had designed something for the company. Now I am looking for a fragrance to add to my line, and you ladies will be creating that yourself! You'll create and name the fragrance yourself, and then you'll design and model in the ad however you wish. Good luck! |

Cara: *waching The Modeling Academy* Thats right Britt you sue them! -after the episode is over- Im not that surprised to be here in the final two but that doesnt make it less nerve wrecking. All I know is, I might have to call those same lawyers that Britt has. ;D ;D ;D I've started choosing the photos and typing the critiques and I'll get as much done as I can tonight, but the winner probably won't be announced until tomorrow since it's so close. |
