I have all the photos edited, but I am far too exhausted to post right now so judging/elimination will have to wait until tomorrow evening. Sorry for the delay!

JUDGING Liya: Hello lovely ladies, and welcome to your second judging in China! This week you ladies had one of my favorite photoshoots so far in this competition, which took place at the famous Great Wall of China, and once again this shoot was independent of brands. I hope to see grand, refined, memorable photos this week, so let's see who climbed the wall and who fell over it starting with Bambi. Bambi - This is a lovely photo, very serene and elegant. You remind me a bit of a ghost actually, you look a mystical morning spirit that guards the Great Wall. Your gaze is mesmerizing and your expression is somehow both piercing and soft at the same time, which intrigues me. I also quite like the way you are letting the fabric flow around you, though I wish you had closed or turned your legs because it would've closed the distracting translucent gap between your legs and provided a more interesting and dynamic shape, but other than that I can't think of any other significant things to improve this shot. Cara - J'ADORE! This photo is magnificent, you just look so beautiful and majestic and regal and ethereal. Actually, this is almost a little Lord of the Rings-ish with the rolling green hills in the background, and you look like a mysterious elf queen looking over her kingdom. This is a great angle for your face, I love your expression, and you are working that giant hat, I want to buy it even though I can't imagine when I would wear it. This is perhaps my favorite shot of you to date. Kim - This looks like a Renaissance painting, I love it. You look very regal and high-class, but also mysterious and powerful, you're like a vampire lurking in the shadows of the wall. Your eye is piercing, your skin looks amazing, and even though you're sitting the pose is still strong with the crossed legs and great posture. My only negatives are the extreme strain in your neck and the fact that this is so similar to last week's photo, but overall this is definitely one of your strongest shots so far. Marcelina - This photo is just...epic. Normally I might find your pose is a bit too tense or your expression a bit too squinted, but somehow everything in this photo comes together perfectly; the simplicity yet strength of your pose, the wind in the hair and flow of the dress, your piercing eyes and the connection with the distance, this fantastic angle for your bone structure...it altogether just creates such a striking image, especially with the foggy background and deteriorating wall. You look like an angry, defiant empress refusing to give in to an enemy as your empire literally crumbles beneath you. This photo tells a story, and leaves such a strong impact, I love it. Nathalie - This is a glorious photo, I typically think of you as being so soft and pretty so to see you give powerful edge is always refreshing. Everything about this photo is just strong; you have a strong stride and powerful stature, your eyes are piercing, and overall you just look so mighty and intimidating. I think the stylist should be shot because that is such a bulky granny dress but you manage to work it. I do wish you had gone for a walk rather than a run though because your back leg/foot ads an unappealing asymmetry, but other than that I can't think of much else to critique, fantastic job! Thuy - Dammmnn girl, you're back! This is great, very eerie and strong...I mentioned earlier that Bambi looked like the morning spirit of the wall, and I think you look like the night spirit of the wall, like the ghost of a fierce warrior who stations herself to defend the wall. Your stance is very powerful and I like the popped hip, and I love the way you are holding the fiery spear. Your eyes are so piercing and your face looks so beautiful yet androgynous. My only negative is your loss of neck, though that is partially the stylist's fault for that bulky choker, but overall this is one of your strongest shots to date.

ELIMINATION Liya: Hello again lovely ladies, and welcome to your second elimination in China. I'm not sure what it is, but ever since we came here you ladies have been stepping up your game, which is great for you but it makes my job much more difficult. Once again, everybody did fantastically this week and nobody's performance was anywhere near bad, so I had to take a lot of smaller things into consideration this week. Overall it was a very difficult call-out order to determine, and an even more difficult elimination to decide, but this week there actually shall be an elimination. So, without further ado, the first name I am going to call is... MARCELINA! Congratulations Marcelina, your photo came together so perfectly this week and you really blew me away, keep it up. CARA! You also completely blew me away this week, and though you weren't called first, you were extremely close and still received a perfect score so congratulations! THUY! Glad to see you back at the top! NATHALIE! Don't worry about being close to the bottom 2, you still had a fantastic performance this week. Will Bambi and Kim please step forward? Bambi, you really had a great photo this week, but that's actually the problem...at this point of the competition, great is somehow not cutting it anymore and great is being weeded out from the outstanding. And after reflecting on your performance this week and throughout the competition, I've noticed that you haven't been bringing a certain energy and commitment to all the shoots that the other girls have. Kim, you actually did have an outstanding photo this week, one of my favorites from the competition, so you are not fading into the background. You are here because your photo was very similar to last week's, and this is not the first time you've struggled with showing versatility. I'm also beginning to question your consistency because you've had several ups and downs so far. So who stays, the girl who is consistently great but great isn't cutting it anymore, or the girl who inconsistently outstanding with questionable versatility? * flips photo* KIM! At the end of the day, you have a slightly stronger history and a much stronger photo than Bambi, so you get to stay. Congratulations, you are still in the running. *hugs Bambi* Bambi, I am devastated to let go of someone with so much talent and such a unique look like yours, but sadly you seem to have plateaued in the middle while everybody else is still on the rise. I know this isn't the end for you though, I'm sure you have a fantastic modeling career ahead of you, but sadly this is the end of your journey here. Goodbye, and good luck. *hugs her again*

Liya: Hello lovely ladies! I am sure you are all actually wondering about the Liya Letter this time, right? Well, today you ladies will be going far and wide through China for your photoshoots, but the interesting thing is that each of you will be going to a drastically different location and doing a drastically different shoot, though I want to see interesting editorial photos from each shoot. Now, you will get to choose which shoot you want to do, but it is a first come, first serve type of deal so you have to run to the car that you want. Here are the different locations/shoots:
Gobi desert - One of you will be posing in the arid, dry Gobi desert in Northwest China. For this shoot, I want to see desperation and despair, I want to see you portray a struggle to survive in the desert. The styling is completely up to you.
Yangtze River - One of you will be going down to the Yangtze River where you will be posing as mermaids. You can pose on the shore, in a fisherman's net, or even underwater, but I want to see sensual and ethereal photos. You can be in a flowy gown, swimsuit, nude, or some combination.
Downtown Hong Kong - One of you will be going into the fast-paced city of Hong Kong. For this shoot, I want to see you looking super edgy, ultra-modern, and very chic, and that's how I want to the styling to be.
Chinese Lantern Festival - One of you will be heading to an outlying village for their Lantern Festival, where you will be posing at night with all the floating lanterns surrounding you. I want to see mystical, magical photos from this shoot, and I'd prefer the styling to be colorful, quirky, and fun or couture.
Wolong Panda Reserve - One of you will be going into the bamboo forest reserve to pose with Giant Pandas. I want to see you looking very natural and serene, and you can either look playful with the pandas or solemn and melancholy. I don't want anything too outrageous for the styling, but noting too casual either.
Also, after your photoshoots there will be a challenge! Since each of you will be on your own without the other girls, I thought this would be a good time for a private chat with each of you (a.k.a. PM me this please) I'd like each of you to tell me who you see as your strongest competitor (other than yourself) and your weakest competitor, and explain why.
Good luck!

For Lantern Festival, do the expressions have to be fun and quirky too or can it be edgy?

For Lantern Festival, do the expressions have to be fun and quirky too or can it be edgy? Preferably quirky and mystical I guess, though edgy could work if the overall shot is still quirky.
