*As she's packing up, she is still teary eyed* I'm just so grateful for this experience, even if it only lasted a week. I got to see a glimpse of the industry that I'm trying to break into and even the tiniest glimpse is a huge help. Of course I would have loved to win, but I'm also kind of happy that I didn't because I don't want girls to think they need to look like me and be my size to be a model, because they really don't have to. I'm going to take some time, beef up a bit, and then give it a go. Hopefully this isn't the last you'll see of me.

Bar: *Confessional* It really stinks to see Jade go because she really was a sweet girl. Even though I only got to meet her for a week, I am really happy to have met her and heard her story. I felt like she was a child to me and I am so proud of how she is recovering and she really deserves the best. On the other hand, I MADE IT THROUGH WEEK ONE! I'm so happy because I'm sure I was expected to go first, but I'm still here and I'm going to do my best to prove everyone who thinks I can't do this wrong. This week is right up my alley, but I'm going to try and make it more high fashion because everyone expects me to go super sexy. I want to have a shot that could be in a womens magazine, not Sports Illustrated or Maxim. But of course, I'll give variety and do some sexy shots.

JUDGING

Liya: Hello lovely ladies, and welcome to your second judging! This week you ladies went to a luxurious Long Island mansion where you shot lingerie or swimwear ads for renowned Italian brand Calzedonia. I expected sexy, sensual photos that fit their aesthetic and showed off the garments, so let's see how you all did!


Abbey Lee - This is an interesting photo, Abbey, not quite what I had expected. It’s a very serene and tranquil photo, and you look so youthful and beautiful. You look so long and the swimsuit looks quite nice on you, and overall I do like the photo. I think it’s a bit reserved though, I wish you had upped the sex appeal quite a bit; also, there’s a sadness to your expression that might work for an editorial, but detracts from this as an ad.

Arlenis - You had high expectations to meet this week because of your last performance and your look, and you most certainly lived up to them; it was nearly impossible to choose a photo for you. This shot is so sexy yet still fashionable, and you look great...you remind me a bit of Tyra here actually. You have a good booty tooch and arch in the back and your skin is just so flawless, and facially you look stunning. Your eyes have a sly sexiness to them that works, and overall my one complaint would be that I wish you sold the swimsuit better but this would definitely still work.

Bar - I had very high expectations for you this week Bar, and while you did not exceed them, you definitely at least met them so good job. This is very sexy but in an effortless and natural way, and you look gorgeous. The arch in your back is wonderful and the booty tooch really works, especially to sell the panties, and your expression is confident and alluring without trying too hard. It could use a little more wow factor, but overall I can’t find any true flaws and this would be a splendid ad.

Catherine - Choosing your shot was a very difficult task this week because I loved so much of your film, so it should come as no surprise that I think this photo is superb. You look very classy and confident, but also alluring and sexy, but then also with a little edge and mystique. The swimsuit looks wonderful on you, your body looks great, facially you look gorgeous, and your eyes are simply piercing. The shot seems so simple and effortless, but you really are modeling every inch of yourself here and I cannot find a flaw.

Cintia - I had rather high expectations for you here and while I wouldn’t quite say you met them, you still did pretty well. You look very cute yet sexy here, it’s very girl-next-door meets bombshell which works well for this sort of work. Your body looks great and you also show off the swimsuit well. Your face does have a good connection with the camera, but overall something about your expression combined with the arms is coming off as a little confused, but otherwise it’s a good shot.

Emilia - I am getting modern Marilyn Monroe vibes from this shot, which is why I chose it because I like that a lot. You look very glamorous and luxurious in a sexy way, and there’s a languid confidence to your expression that works very well. Your skin is so milky smooth and your leg looks amazing, and overall it’s a great shot. I might have liked a little more energy to the shot perhaps, but overall well done.

Eugena - At first glance I had doubts about how well this worked for the brand, but then I remembered a recent campaign they did with Sara Sampaio that got quite creative and contortionistic, so I think it works. Anyway, you look sooo statuesque here it’s incredible, and you just have legs for days! I think your body looks spectacular and I love everything about your pose. Your face looks beautiful too and there’s a confidence to it that I like, but I wish you had brought more allure and sexiness to your expression. Overall great job though, a huge step up.

Jac - You went far sexier yet also edgier than I had expected and you really took a risk with this shot, which I commend you for. This could have easily come off as over the line and sleezy, but you made it work, making it really stand out which is why I chose it over your topless shot. The angle here is just so unique and could have gone really unflattering, but your body looks fantastic with the arch in your back and booty tooch. The way you pull on the swimsuit is also risky but it works, and your face has a cool confidence and sensuality that works well too. We do lose most of the swimsuit with this angle though and your forward arm is a bit distracting, but overall this definitely stands out in a good way.

Jessica - Sexy! You were another girl who had high expectations to meet this week and I think you met them. First, I really want to commend you on selling the swimsuit; I think you did that best overall of all the girls throughout your film because you were just selling everything in each frame, this photo included. Now, onto the photo itself, it is quite a sultry and sensual photo without going over the top. Your body looks great, your face looks beautiful, and you display the swimsuit perfectly. My one complaint is that I think you could have positioned yourself better overall to find the light more effectively and flatter your curves more, but overall well done.

Josephine - Going through your film was a little frustrating...I felt that you were on the cusp of greatness throughout most of it, but then never got that great shot. This is a good shot, but not what I had hoped for. You do look beautiful and alluring, definitely more approachable and girl-next-door than I had expected, but I actually think you went a little too far in that direction. This photo could have used more refinement and more sex appeal as well, and I also can barely see the bikini top. It’s not bad, but I am disappointed.

Kirsi - Oh dear, what happened this week? Your lack of confidence really bled through this week and you just fell apart on set. I do think that your bone structure looks amazing in this shot and I do like the vintage sophistication you brought to the shot, but you brought absolutely 0 sex appeal, the angling and proportioning of your body is very strange, and your eyes are too squinted and uneven.

Lily - I was a little disappointed going through your film, Lily; you introduced yourself as a sexy girl in casting, but I wouldn't have known from this week. I do think that this is a sexy photo that works for the brand though, and it is a good shot.. Your body overall looks good and your face looks good as well, and you do convey enough sultriness and sensuality. Overall though I’m just not in love with the image; some of it might have to do with the tension in your jaw and mouth, but I also think there’s something almost a little sleezy about this that rubs me the wrong way.

Olga - This is very pretty Olga, I like it. Your hair and skin look so wonderful, and your body looks spectacular in the lingerie which really helps to sell it. You have a natural, effortless sexiness about you that works for the shot as well. I do think that it could use more energy or power though because it doesn’t particularly stand out and seems more like a catalog shot than an ad.

Liya: Hello again lovely ladies, and welcome to your second elimination! I have reviewed your performances for Calzedonia, and overall I was fairly impressed and so were the executives of the brand! In the end they decided that eight of you performed well enough to appear in their lookbook campaign this season, which is a big deal. The call-out order this week was particularly difficult to determine because there were five of you really contending for the top spot, but in the end the first name I am going to call is...

CATHERINE! I was very impressed by your performance this week and literally could not find a flaw, so congratulations!

So what do I do about this? Josephine, your photo wasn't bad this week but it was not up to the standard you set for yourself or the standard the other girls set this week. Kirsi, your photo actually was kinda bad, but I know you are so much better than it. So which of you stays?

WEEK 3 ASSIGNMENT

Liya: Hello lovely ladies, and welcome to your third week! As you can see, I am standing here in front of a runway, so this week you will obviously be doing a runway show for none other than Michael Kors! *the girls cheer* He is a very eclectic designer who features everything from dresses to suits to swimwear, so you have a wide range of styling to choose from but it will obviously be high end and classy. For your walks he wants to see confidence, poise, and elegance. (You can submit photos, gifs, or videos; it doesn't matter to me)

That is not your only assignment this week, however! While you are prepping for the show, photographers will be all around backstage to take behind-the-scenes photos of you, and these will count as a photoshoot at judging. These photos should be in-the-moment and candid but beautiful.

*Confessional* To be going home and have Liya do a non-elimination just for me is a huge honor. She obviously sees potential in me so I need to prove to her that she didn't waste that non-elimination. I need to kill it this week. I do feel pretty confident though because it's a runway week and I think runway is definitely one of my strong points. Being 6 feet tall and the tallest girl in the competition, I think it automatically makes me work better for the runway than some other girls like Bar or Jessica.
