 Lara: Hello ladies and welcome to a modeling competition unlike any other. Im going to take all you fresh faced, unpolished wannabe models and by the end of this competition one of you will be the next big thing in fashion. You girls will be put through twelve grueling weeks and only one will come out on top. Now lets take a brief moment to explain how things work here in The Modeling Academy. You ladies will be graded weekly on your performances in different categories of modeling, commercial, glamour, couture, runway, etc. Your grades will be based on how you perform in a shoot pertaining to that category. Grades will be updated at the end of every week in your weekly "Model Reports." And as the competition continues on only the girls with the best grades will make it through each round. These are the basics of the competition however there are very important aspects *The different categories will be furthur expanded on after casting -Any girl who has a failing grade or F, in a certain subject for more than two weeks will be required to take a remedial photoshoot along with the regular photoshoot to raise that grade up. If unable to do so the penalty is an automatic bottom two. -You can raise several grades each week by submitting photos that fit the theme, but also show other aspects that fall under the grading categories.(Ex: Submitting a photo thats HF but also glamorous at the same time) Also by not fitting the theme that week, if you survive that of course. -Think of your weekly reports as a ranking to know where your at and what to improve upon. The competition is not solely decided on grades, potential, consistancy, versatility, and more is taken into consideration. Lara: With all of that taken care of it is now time to announce your first tasks. You ladies are to submit a simple and clean beauty shot, and a simple, full body, casting photo. I want to see your potential, and your talent, because both are equally taken into consideration. Alright ladies, goodluck! Casting Deliberations
Agyness: She really stands out for me. I love how she has this edgy pixie look. Her casting shot is really good, she looks nice and tall. And in her beauty shot I love how she looks more cute and soft, it captures her features well. I hate what she did with her hands though.
Alana: I wish that your beauty photo would have actually been....a beauty photo. Its basically waist up, so this already shows you didnt follow directions. And its a shame because I think you have such an interesting face. As for your casting photo, you have a great body. I could so see you doing runway, so its a lot better than your beauty photo.
Barbara: So pretty. You have this gorgoues eyes and lips, combined with a really innocent look and you look beautiful in your beauty shot. And I love the energy and how dynamic your casting shot is. My worry is that you strike me as one of those girls who rests on being pretty.
Behati: When I first saw Behati's beauty shot I was like, wow! So much potential. She has this sweet and commercial look, but thats still interesting enough to translate to editorial. As for her casting shot, I think its interesting but the face is just a mess though.
Britt: Gorgous girl. She has such an edgy and editorial look, reminds me of Agyness because of the hair. Your casting shot is good but a little too plastic and photoshopped, the beauty shot is flawless though. You look amazing natural Britt.
Carola: Your casting photo was really bland for me Carola, like really boring. But then my opinion totally changed in your beauty shot. This girl has bone structure for days! broad jaw, sharp cheekbones and gorgoues eyes. Definately potential there.
Coco: All I thought when I saw the casting shot was "Wut?" Its so incredibly overposed and gimmicky, the point was to show her natural potential and you way missed it. The beauty shot on the other hand is freaking stunning. I definately see potential in that photo.
Elsa: Love her! She has this angelic and elfish quality to her look, but is also commercial at the same time and sexy as well. Very marketable. And both shots were great as well.
Elza: Elza with a Z. Shes like a more high fashion version of the other Elsa. The casting shot is definately too overdramatic for what I wanted, but her beauty shot is stunning. Razor sharp cheekbones and piercing eyes which I love.
Hanaa: I really saw potential and talent in her casting shot, I loved her exotic look. But then the beauty shot I didnt like at all, bad angle for her nose, lips look tensed, the facial expression in general look strained. Something simplier and more relaxed would have been so much better.
Heather: Boring. I think your look is a bit dated to be honest Heather. And both of your shots werent bad, but they werent particularly interesting either. Just really average in terms of looks and photos.
Iris: I think im more in love with your looks than your actual photos Iris. Dont get me wrong both are great, I just simply adore your androgynous, classic, and even exotic look. Your face will get you far in the industry and I see so much potentian in you. Im very impressed.
Jasmine: Your casting shot looked very....actressy and amatuer. Your body even looks a bit atheletic and you look a bit on the shorter side as well. Your beauty shot is much better though, your features are beautiful and I love how theyre soft and commercial but still exotic. You strike me as one of those girls with tons of potential who might not live up to it in photos.
Jessica: You remind me a bit of Heather, but id say your look is more cat like and interesting. I like how casual and effortless your casting shot is, and your beauty shot is ok. I think your resting on potential and I wanted to see your talent in these photos and both of them are just resting on pretty.
Jourdan: Love. Love. Love. Your casting shot is simple Jourdan, but you still have that intensity in your eyes, and I love your beauty shot. Its simple but so editorial at the same time, your look is actually a lot more edgy and interesting than it appears and thats good because it shows me you could work for several markets.
Lan: I love this girls look so much.I think she has a lovely face and tons of potential, but both of these photos are below average to me. Casting is too overposed and the face looks really strained in the beauty shot. But I feel like she could really rock it out when the competition starts.
Lisa: Like Heather, really boring. And her look isnt in right now or particularly interesting. I dont like the beauty shot, her features look unusually round and the doll like look isnt particularly in anymore. And just a general lack of presence as well.
Liya: Clearly she did not follow directions. And its a shame because shes stunning.
Magdalena: Shes another girl with amazing bone structure. Great runway body too. I think both these photos are good but neither is amazing though.
Marloes: I really like her. She has a very commercial look but its clear she can go high fashion as well. And she knows how to follow directions as well, both her beauty shot and casting shot show her potential and both are great.
Nadja: Definately on the older side. Her age really shows in her beauty shot. I probably wouldnt have gone for a photo that shows her age that much. But other than that she looks younger in her casting shot, has a great body. I think she has more talent than these photos show.
Sara: Perfect. Absolutely love this girl. Her look is sexy, commercial, exotic, etc. Stunning face and features, she honestly reminds me of a more high fashion Adriana Lima.
Sasha: I like you a lot Sasha. You have this adorable look that translates as editorial and just gives off a youthful vibe. Your beauty shot is probably one of my favorite photos in the bunch.
Shalom: Like Nadja, Shalom is on the other side. But I have to admit she brought it! Her beauty shot is so classic and stunning, Armani or Chanel much? And she is working it in her casting shot, the pose is amazing, the face is great. Im really impressed by you Shalom. |
