Casting Evaluations
Liya: Wow! This has already been one of the most entertaining cycles yet, and it is only casting week! You ladies are going to be a goldmine for the ratings, so thank you for that. Now, I am going to give a brief critique of your casting tasks and potential before I actually decide on who will make the final cut and announce the special twist. I'll go through this alphabetically, so Andie, you're up first!
Andie - I find the three models you mentioned interesting because you are like a cuter amalgamation of all 3, so I can see why agencies have been hesitant to sign you if you resemble others...however, the others you resemble are all very successful so that shows that your look is in at least, and I would still say you have your own unique quality I like. Anyway, your casting shots were good, you followed directions perfectly and your beauty shot has a spellbinding quality that really makes it stand out.
Anna Maria - My god, your name really is a mouthful! Anywho, your beauty shot is beautiful, even though it is so simple it reminds me of a Renaissance painting, you look so sophisticated and classically beautiful. Your full body shot is a bit amateur on the other hand, I appreciate the risk with the pose but it looks a bit ModelMayhem wannabe model.
Bambi - You have a really unique look, I can't really decide what to make of it. I definitely like it, I just can't decide how to categorize it. Anyway, I wasn't particularly impressed by your beauty shot, but your casting shot was very beautiful, and even though neither of them particularly stand out, your look and your name certainly do!
Cara - You intrigue me, because you are so little and cute, yet in your photos you look like a bitch and the personality I have seen so far is quite bitchy, albeit extremely entertaining. Your look isn't the most unique but you photograph wonderfully, though my one big critique of your photos is that you are giving basically the same exact expression in both.
Charlotte - Wow, you are so pretty! You remind me of a Barbie doll, except with your own unique edge with the pink hair and all...and you actually remind me of a cuter version of Cara, so if both of you make it into the house you'll probably be directly competing against each other. Both of your casting shots are beautiful, though you do look short in your full body one.
Eboni - You remind me of Chanel Iman a bit, except with an even fresher and more modern twist. Your beauty shot was gorgeous, very raw and natural and fresh. Your full body shot was much sexier than I expected, it reminds me a little more of an R&B star or dancer than a model to be honest, though your body does look absolutely amazing.
(Sidenote...Me: I think it's really funny that all four of FunFun's girls fell consecutively in the alphabetical order)
Edita - Here's the deal. You're beautiful, like probably one of the prettiest if not the prettiest girl here. Extremely classically beautiful, for sure...but perhaps a little too classically beautiful, I'm not convinced you are unique enough to make it to the top. Also, you need to work on listening to directions better because your full body photo was a bit too dramatic...stunning, but too dramatic.
Elza - When you said you were 16 I was completely shocked, I thought you were closer to like 26...which isn't exactly a compliment. Your beauty shot is very beautiful, like Anna Maria it reminds me of a Renaissance painting though this is where you especially look older. Your full body shot is surprisingly sultry and sensual, and very beautiful, though not quite as simple as I had hoped.
Eniko - Wow, legs for days much? You, like Edita, compete for the prettiest girl spot, but unlike her you still have a uniqueness to your look that makes you stand out. However, you also do look a bit older, and you could have paid a little more attention to directions because your shots were a little more dramatic than I had hoped for...they are beautiful shots and not overly dramatic, but they should've been a tiny bit simpler.
Karmen - You do have potential and I really want to like you, but something about you is just not clicking right now. You look really washed out and bored in your beauty shot, and then you just look strung out in the full body one. I'm not sure if you were having a bad day or if you're just a bad model, but at least you have plenty of potential to partially make up for it.
Kate - I see we have a diva in the house...and I'll be honest, I really dislike a diva who walks around acting like they are better than everyone else when really they're not. With that said, I don't dislike you, because you really are better than a lot of the other girls here; your casting shots were both fantastic and you just ooze potential, your long face is very quirky yet beautiful and you have a very contemporary look that could go far.
Kim - When I first saw your beauty shot, I was like "Wow, that's a model." Then I saw your full-body shot...and I was like "No, now
that's a model!" Everything about you just screams model, you've got a great face, flawless body, and you followed the directions perfectly.
Lily - Nice to see you back, Lily. I was wondering if you would return because you started off so rough but then improved so much during your original cycle, so I've wanted to give you another chance. However, I'm not sure if your shots justify another chance...your full body photo is beautiful but entirely too dramatic. Your beauty shot is gorgeous though, but I am not a big fan of the up-the-nose angle.
Marcelina - What planet are you from? Your look is so outlandish and out of this world, I love it! I also love your beauty shot, perhaps the best of the bunch, but your full body shot leaves plenty to be desired...for one I'm not terribly impressed by it, and it's also more dramatic than I would've liked.
McKey - You have similar cheekbones and lip shape to Bianca, the winner of last cycle, and your look also reminds me a bit of a more androgynous and modelesque version of Courteney Cox. Anyway, you're beautiful, your look stands out in this group, and you have legs for days, but I worry that you might be a little too athletic for mainstream modeling and though both of your shots are good, nothing about them really blew me away.
Natasha - I'm confused, did like eight of you somehow miss the memo of a simple casting shot? Anyway, that's my only real problem with you other than your lack of freshness, but otherwise you are absolutely stunning and you photograph very well.
Nathalie - You are one of the most interesting girls here to me for a variety of reasons, most of which are contradictions. The first is that in your full body photo, the close up is rather unfortunate and unflattering and you look a bit haggard and un-fresh, yet you look so incredibly fresh and youthful and ethereal in your beauty shot. The second is that I can't tell if your look is versatile or not since you're not classically sexy yet you have curves, and you're not particularly commercial but you're fresh and innocent, and you're not particularly high fashion yet you're ethereal and unique. You're just full of Je Nais Se Quoi.
Shalom - What a classic beauty, and those cheekbones could cut glass! I adore your beauty shot, though I wish it were closer up on your face. I'm not as big a fan of your full body shot...it's still good, but it's a bit stiff and a little more dramatic than I wanted.
Sonia - I don't believe that you're 27...I would guess closer to 17! You're just the opposite of Elza in that sense. I also take back what I said about Charlotte being a Barbie...you're definitely the Barbie doll of this cycle. You're just so beautiful and your shots are also very pretty, my only concern is that you look a little short.
Tanya - Welcome back Tanya! It's always refreshing and encouraging to see a past contestant back for more. I do like how natural and raw your beauty shot is, it definitely shows off your unique, elfish look quite well. I'm not as big a fan of your full body shot...it's a good shot and the pose is very strong, but your head and eyes are tilted way too far up and your face looks inhumanly narrow.
Thuy - Oh my word, you're stunning! Gosh, you're just so exotic and captivating and beautiful, your cheekbones could cut me and your body is ready for any runway. I can't honestly think of anything negative to say whatsoever.
Zippora - You look familiar...haven't you auditioned before? Either way, you're very pretty and I do see a model's face; from the eyes up you actually remind me of Gemma Ward while from the nose down you remind me of Kate Moss. You do photograph well though you look a bit washed out in both photos, and I am very much concerned about your height...there are other shorties here, but most of them are better about hiding it than you.
