Ali M
Hi Ali! How does it feel to be the first girl to be critiqued? *Ali looks nervous* Well I think you did well this week. You totally got into the vintage look, I absolutely love your styling. You didnt do anything extreme but the shoot didnt call for that. You kept it very chic and cool, the eyes are a little uneven though and your legs look a bit weird but good job overall.
Ali S
One thing I love is how you really got on top of the car. I think this is good but its not perfect, facially you look very cool and chic and I love that. But there are some faults with your posing, one of your legs look disjointed from the rest of your body so you have to be careful of where you are and where the camera is and you also look stiff. I also was a little disapointed going through your film because a lot of the shots didnt really fit the theme and the ones that did werent really that good either.
Alla
Um, wow. I was ready for you to totally fail at this shoot Alla. But you totally surprised me! I just love this photo. You are giving so much energy and your smile is just radiant, your legs look great and I love the heart shaped sunglasses, very Lana. I said in casting that I worried about your versatility but here you are in a swimsuit smiling your ass off. I'm really impressed.
Andie
I actually think this is a really cool shot Andie. Its like your this campy vintage housewife. You have this very haughty expression but it doesnt come across as too strong for the theme. I really like what your doing with your fingers, its unique and I dont find it awkward. I do think you look short so be careful of that.
Corey
This is a solid first shot Corey. I like your smile, its natural and fun though also a bit squinty so just be careful about that. But you do sell the clothes well and your pose is okay. Overall it doesn't jump out as me as something amazing but you did good.
Ginta
I think its a fun photo, I will say you have a great pair of legs on you and you really sell the clothes and are giving a cute smile too. But its maybe a bit too modern, especially with the high low skirt your wearing, and like Corey it doesn't really wow me either.
Kati
When you were stepping on that set I was a little afraid honestly, because you have a look thats a bit more edgy but you did really good Kati! You were very elegant but in a cute way that made it apropriate, I love how its like your gossiping with the other model, it adds personality to the shot. You also know your angles because you are giving shape to your legs and managed to place one hand on your skirt and another on your chin while keeping it elegant. I also like that you combined commercial and couture into one, thats a smart way to take advantage of the grades.
Katie
Stunning. I love this Katie, you totally got into the vintage look and made it romantic and sensual. I like the arched back and how you were also one of the girls who got on top of the car, your hair and the clothes look amazing and your face is just stunning. You are giving emotion and I dont really know what it is but its working.
Katrin
This is a good shot Katrin. You definately went the more editorial route but you still stayed true to the theme with the vintage styling. You worked well with the car and made your posing look effortless and your face is strong but you have to be careful of squinting your eyes too hard and tensing your lips.
Lee
Really cute! One thing I love about this shoot is that you didn't only bring personality and make it campy but you also remembered you were a model and are selling both bags, the shoes, the sunglasses and the outfit, like damm, thats impressive! I said in casting you obviously had experience under your belt and this is proving me right, great job Lee.
Matt
I am glad to say you didn't disapoint Matt, this is an extremely good shot. You are like this sexy 50's gentleman. The suit looks smashin on you and I really like how you used the newspaper as a prop. Facially you look very handsome, your bone structure looks great and I like the cocked eyebrow, it's like something caught your eye and I want to know what that thing is. Great job!
Montana
Your film was disapointing overall, I really thought you had the look to make this a super fun and cute shoot but that didn't happen. However you did luck into this shot and it is lovely. There is something very romantic about it, with the flowers and your faraway facial expression its like you are waiting for your lover, and with the car in the background it looks like it could be a scene from a movie. Well done Montana.
Tara
This a little edgier but you totally made it work Tara because you understood the image we were looking for and gave us exactly that. Your facial expression is confident and glamorous, your posing is simple and I love how effortlessly you slightly lean on the car. You look like that cool vintage chick just chilling with her car and her man. You took the Lana inspiration, made it your own and worked it out.
