GO-SEE RESULTS: BIANCA Liya: Hello lovely ladies! This week you all went on go-sees here in Berlin, Germany. You had to showcase yourselves for two of the most renowned designers who present their lines in Berlin Fashion Week, Hugo Boss and Guess, as well as a go-see with a representative from IMG Models. Performing well in these go-sees was crucial because it is an example of your true capabilities of booking jobs out there in the actual fashion industry. The go-sees were scored as follows: 20 points for your portfolio, 10 points for your runway, 5 points for your polaroid, 5 points for your personal style, and 3 points for your personality, making each score out of 43 points and your grand total out of 129 points I will go through each of your go-see scores and comments one-by-one, starting with Bianca. ELIMINATIONS Liya: Hello lovely ladies! This week you went on go-sees to meet with some very important clients here in Germany, and overall the results were quite illuminating. The scores were extremely close aside from the two outliers, which makes this elimination easier than usual. One of you really blew the others out of the water though, and that girl was... BIANCA! No surprises here, you had the highest score in the bunch by far and overall were very impressive in the go-sees, congrats! GERTRUD! Brace yourself because you are getting quite the speech. By points, you earned this second call-out and I definitely did not want to see you go, but you definitely lucked out that one girl did significantly worse than the rest this week because otherwise you would actually probably have been going home for one reason. Though your portfolio was very strong, IMG was not pleased with your photos because 3 out of 4 of your shots were beauty shots, and they worry about how marketable you can be. I brought this up last week as well, so you really need to work on that. KARLIE! You performed slightly under my expectations for you this week to be honest, I expected you to do the best, but you were one of IMG's favorites and they were the most important client so that is what narrowly saved you from the bottom 2. Will Nadine and Daria please step forward? Both of you stand before me for a similar reason: having a specific flaw that held you back in the go-sees. Nadine, I'm not sure if it was a bad case of stage fright or just absent-mindedness, but you did not say a word to any of the clients, and though personality is the least important factor, in close cases it can mean the difference between being booked or not and you didn't show any personality at all. Daria, your flaw this week was your age. It hasn't been a big problem yet in your photoshoots, but you looked older than you actually are in your polaroid which is very concerning, it made me wonder if you'll be able to work without the intensive photoshopping. So who goes, the girl with the problematic personality, or the girl with the problematic presence? *flips photo* DARIA! Your score this week and your overall history in this competition are both better than Nadine's, so you were really here because somebody had to be. Just work on cleaning yourself up better and concealing your age a little more and you should be fine. Congratulations, you are still in the running. *tears up* *hugs Nadine* Nadine, you have no idea how difficult this elimination was! I don't know what caused you to seize up and silence yourself in the go-sees like that, but whatever it was you need to work on it to get booked. If I ignored the personality portion of your score, you would have been called second, but sadly that would not have been fair to the other ladies so I had to let you go. Liya: Hello lovely ladies! I remember saying that to the full group of 16, and look at you now: only 4 left, one quarter of the original. And you ladies made it here because you are the strongest of the bunch...but that does not mean you are without you weaknesses. Next week is the finale and I want to make sure I have the strongest possible models entering it, so this week we will have two photoshoots in which you exercise your strengths and your weaknesses.
For each of you, I have identified what I believe to be your strongest aspect of modeling, and what I believe to be your weakest. For the first photoshoot, I want to see you all working your strengths like pros. Then, for the second photoshoot, you will be conquering your weaknesses. Bianca
Your strength has been glamorous, feminine editorial. So for your first photoshoot, I'd like to see a sexy, fabulous, and glamorous, yet still editorial, photo from you.
It was difficult to decide on a weakness from you, but in the end I decided I want to see the opposite of your strength: edgy androgyny. I want to see an edgy, androgynous shot from you for your weakness shoot.
Daria
Your strength has been your posing, so I want to see a photo showing a strong, unique, interesting pose from you for the first shoot.
Your weakness has been your reliance on photoshopping, so I want to see a strong, natural, youthful shot from you.
Gertrud
I probably don't even need to tell you because I bet you've already guessed it, but your strength has been beauty modeling so I want to see a strong beauty shot from you.
For your weakness shoot, I'd like to see a great full body shot with a strong, interesting pose.
Karlie
Your strength has been your high fashion side, so this week I want to see crazy couture from you.
Choosing your weakness was difficult, but in the end I realized I haven't really seen a strong emotion out of you, so for your photo I'd like to see you show a strong emotion in a photo.
