Looking at the teams I think our team did well we have good photos and did not to to glamorous which I think Fatima may have doe with hes. we were told to go more natural like with the hair and makeup.

Judging
Team Maryna
Liya: I'll go alphabetically though your girls, so Kasia is first. Kasia, I think this is a very strong shot, but a little too strong for David Yurman. I do think you look gorgeous and fierce and you have good eye contact going on, but overall it just doesn't look like a David Yurman ad to me and I barely notice the jewelry. Kate...you are very inconsistent already I can see, because unlike last week I am not a big fan of your shot. I do like the classic Marilyn Monroe-esque vibe you're giving and you look beautiful, but there is a lot wrong with this. I don't think you caught the light well enough, you lost your neck, your shoulders are too hunched and look huge, and the exposed cleavage is distracting. Kendra, I think your shot is very beautiful and you captured the David Yurman vibe the best. You look so beautiful and you kept it simple yet effective, though I barely notice the ring over the watch. Natasha, I definitely like your shot and appreciate the risk you took by draping the necklace over your shoulder, but that's a bit odd for a David Yurman ad. Nonetheless, you look beautiful and mysterious, and I like that you brought some emotion to the shot.
Hilary: Kate, I feel like you had the right idea with this shot, but the execution is really lacking. Light is a huge part of a photograph and you completely missed that. Your whole face is in the shadows and you didn't work the light for your best angle. I like the eyes here because they did catch some light and are glistening, but the rest of your face is just okay. Kendra, I feel like had you been nude or had something other than a blazer on, this shot would be dynamite. Your face looks gorgeous and I love the natural hair. Your eyes are really selling the shot for me. Your bone structure looks great and I just love the overall expression. I do think the styling however takes away from the photo because it makes it less like the client. Kasia, you're kind of in the same boat as Kendra. That sweater is really distracting. With the different colored knits woven in, it creates a really bold pattern in black and white and it completely overshadows the ring. I also don't really like the hair in the face. If you're going to have something blocking part of your face, you really need to power through that and I don't think you did that here. Your bone structure does look great though. Natasha, this is a good shot, but it isn't fantastic. I like the expression: It's simple, but strong. The jewelry is being sold well and it kind of fits the client. I don't know if I totally see David Yurman, but I think if you stretch your imagination, it could work. The one thing that is totally bothering me though is that there is no neck at all. It looks like a head on some shoulders.
Team Liya
Maryna: Starting with Joan, I think she did amazingly! I mean this shot is so stunning and really perfect for the client. I love the face, you look so beautiful Joan and you are channeling this emotion. The shot has this very melancholy feel to it but its also somewhat glamorous too. Moving on to Fatima, well its definately the best shot she's taken so far! Her bone structure and eyes are slaying the photo, I mean they look flawless. You are the only girl to wear her hair up and honestly I would have loved it down. I think the mouth is sort of snarly and the lips too overglossed, really the amount of make up being used is my pet peeve here.
Hilary: Joan, this is definitely one of the stronger shots in the bunch, but I will say, I'm not completely in love with it. When I was watching you shoot, I saw a shot come up on the screen that I thought was AMAZING, but Liya didn't choose that shot for you. About this shot though. I think your eyes really sell this shot. You have a great connection with the camera. I do however HATE the mouth. It takes the expression from a sultry gaze to something uncomfortable. The hands also could be a little more graceful. It's a great shot, but it has it's minor flaws that bring it down for me. Fatima, I think you look like Iman so much in this shot... in drag. I'm sorry, but I think you look like a man caked in makeup. When given the task, Maryna specifically said that there should be minimal styling, but each of your shots you had so much dramatic makeup on and it was just too glamorous for the client. I also think despite not following directions, it's just not a good shot. Your eyes are uneven: the right eye has great intensity, but the left eye is lazy. I also think that you had the same issue with the mouth as Joan did. It makes you look uncomfortable. I think you have a lot more potential that you have shown, Fatima, but maybe that just means that you weren't meant to be a model.
Team Hilary
Maryna: So starting off with Alina, I do like the shot but not as a David Yurman ad. I mean the jewelry isnt even properly displayed like it should be, I do like the softness in the face but I think she's giving too much back in the photo. Its not that flattering. Now to Daria, other than the fact that she lost her neck I really like this shot of her. I like how she brought her hand up to show off the ring and the face is really intense, though maybe for this client she should have toned it down a bit. Aymeline, I think this is a good photo of her but its not an exciting one. Its sort of, "blah" I mean she has this amazing styling and earrings but is sort of just standing there looking at the camera. I will give her props for softening her expression since she has slightly stronger bone structure. Finally Vlada is to me the girl who really understood the client. I mean this is so strong and beautiful, its soft, ethereal, the necklace looks great and looks like exactly the type of photo you would see in a David Yurman catalog.
Liya: Alina, this is beautiful, I think it's the first shot of you I actually really like. Your features look very distinguished and beautiful, and you are simultaneously conveying mystique and sophistication. On the downside, it took me forever to notice the earring and I think your posture could be a little better, but overall good job. Aymeline, I think your shot is very beautiful as well, you look incredibly regal and sophisticated, and I think you are doing a good job of displaying the earrings, though I also think you are missing a certain emotion that David Yurman ads tend to have and your eyes look uneven. Daria, I am not sure what has happened since the first week but I don't like your shot again. I can't think of much positive to say; you look uncomfortable, you lost your neck completely, you have a lazy eye, I barely notice the ring, and you look annoyed when the typical emotion of a David Yurman ad is sensuality and longing. Vlada, this is absolutely gorgeous, you look so beautiful and angelic. You have the longing and vulnerability I'd expect from a David Yurman ad and overall I think you are the top girl between Hilary's and Maryna's teams this week. |

Liya: *rejoices with her team and hugs them while waiting for Maryna and Hilary to send their choices* We did it, ladies; we finally pulled out a win! I think both of you were spectacular this week and should take pride in a job well done. Hopefully this is the first of many victories!
*in confessional* I was so happy and relieved when my team won! I think both of them did fabulously and I would have been surprised with any other winner honestly. And just as I predicted, both the other teams were still weighed down by weak links at the shoot, so maybe cutting down my team so early was a blessing in disguise. I was a bit surprised by Hilary's disdain for Fatima's shot, but then again Hilary definitely seems to have some sort of stick up her butt when it comes to Fatima. I do hope Fatima manages to win Hilary over soon though because that has definitely put a damper on our overall scores and could continue to be a problem down the road.

Well girls I honestly thought we would have won there for a second, but im still proud of your performances. Kendra, the judges and I all agreed that you were amazing. Congratulations, you are safe. Kate, I think Hilary and Liya were smoking something before judging becase I LOVED your photo. I thought it was the best of the bunch. They didn't like it as much but honestly you really impressed me so congratulations, you are also safe. Kasia and Natasha, see this is hard because I think you both did great. I think everyone in my group did great actually. But one of you struggled following directions, Natasha you had so much elaborate outfits and hair in your film when I really wanted something simple, so I am sorry but you will be facing elimination. Kasia, congratulations you are safe. Natasha, you have been good until now so I have faith that you will come back.
