Lana *confessional* Well this is it! The final four! Honestly im really surprised to be here right now, and whether I even have what it takes to win I dont know. But im just happy to have made it this far. My designs are all about taking classic glamour and elegance and making it youthful, fun and modern, and thats what I was really going for in my print ad and hopefully I get good reviews because honestly, I never know how things are gonna turn out going into panel.

Effie: *in confessional* Wow, I can't believe we are already down to the final 4! It's disappointing that I was in the bottom 2 last week, though mostly disappointing to myself because I agreed with my critique and I think I could have and should have done better. Hopefully I picked myself back up this week though! I had so many ideas for this, and it came down to the last minute for me to choose which one to use so hopefully I chose the right one. If not...well, I've won half the challenges and I've only fallen out of the top 3 once so I think I'm safe, but I don't want to have to rely on past performances to save myself.
La Cha: *in confessional* I am really, really unsure about this week. I did something very different and went for a very exuberant design with a very detailed skirt yet simple top, so hopefully it plays out well. Either way, I am just so happy that I finally won a challenge last week! It was so nice, and very redeeming because I just came off of a bottom 3 scare. And to add to the redemption, it was also technically a little black dress which showed Heidi that my biggest flaw so far has been taken care of. It's actually kinda funny too, because my original black dress was a bit of a fluke; I messed up and slipped while cutting it and it got really butchered, so the short/revealing/cut up quality of it was just my attempt to salvage it. Anyway, hopefully this week I'll be on top again!

JUDGING Heidi: Hello designers and welcome to the runway. As you notice, you're already standing on the runway being ready to be judged because there is no runway show. You all directed photoshoots to photograph a garment that represents the collection that you are going to be showing in fashion week should you make it through eliminations. Let's start with La Cha. La Cha: Wow. That skirt is just amazing. I love that. It's so detailed and the hand painting is beautiful. It really shows that you are a real artist. The volume is amazing and it really shows a couture side to you. The top is rather simple and it could have been because you ran out of time after all the detail on the skirt, but it actually works with the juxtaposition of the drama and simplicity. As a photo, I could see it as an ad. At first, I thought it was very editorial, but I could see the brand name along the bottom of the photo. Great job, La Cha. Tiara: I see a lot of effort in this garment. The beading must have been so tiresome and frustrating, but it looks beautiful. I absolutely love that color too. The top half, I'm not crazy about, but I do like it. It makes Karlie look really wide and she's actually probably the most slender girl here other than maybe Anabela. As for the ad itself, I like it. I like how you brought the light into the photo to reflect off the beading, but it also blocks a part of the garment. I also think it looks to editorial. I see it as something in Vogue, not as an ad. Lana: So far, you're garment is the one that I see selling the most. The others are more couture, but this is something that could be worn all the time. I love those shorts, Lana. I love them. I think they are so flattering and they don't look overworked. The jacket is also fabulous as well as the top. This photo also looks the most like an ad so far. It looks like something that could work for Express. The one thing is, the clothes aren't the most exciting and it doesn't necessarily make me crave to see more, though they may be the most wearable. Effie: This dress is beautiful. I could see girls like Sofia Vergara, Jennifer Lopez, and Kim Kardashian wearing this on the red carpet. It's so beautiful made and the detailing is exquisite. The texture and the cut outs work together beautifully and it's a beautiful gown. However, of all the photos, to me, this looks the least like an ad. It's a beautiful photo, but it looks like it's straight out of Harper's Bazaar and not on a billboard or in a boutique.

ELIMINATION Heidi: Hello designers. We've reviewed your work and have made a decision. There are four of you here. One of you is the winner and one of you is out. Only three can go on to New York Fashion Week. And now for the winner of this challenge... La Cha. Congratulations. You are the winner of this challenge. Your design excited me the most and I can't wait to see more like it in New York Fashion Week. Congratulations. You may leave the runway. Lana... You're in. You're going to New York Fashion Week. Congratulations. You may leave the runway. Tiara. Effie. You two represent the worst this week. Your designs were both beautiful, but you both had the same issue: Your ads looked too editorial and not very advertorial. Tiara... You're out. I'm sorry you're not going to Fashion Week. Effie, that means you're in. Congratulations. You will be showing more of you work in New York Fashion Week. You may leave the runway. Tiara, auf weidersen.

MODEL CASTINGS *the designers are greeted in their studio by Heidi* Heidi: Hello, designers. As you know, you are about to compete in the final challenge. You must create a 12 piece collection showing off your new line. This line should be related to the ad you just shot because that will be the ad representing it. Also, it should be cohesive, but still show your versatility as a designer. As you know, a garment can't walk down the runway on it's own. *the doors open and 100 girls enter the room* Here are your models for this challenge. You will be holding a casting right here. In the end, you'll pick your favorite 12 models, but you need to discuss it with your other designers since you cannot share. THE MODEL YOU USED IN THE LAST CHALLENGE COUNTS AS ONE OF YOUR MODELS AND YOU AUTOMATICALLY GET HER (Effie has Alana, La Cha has Anabela, Lana has Vlada). Good luck! Me: I know this is going to sound like a lot, but if you could send me a list of 36 girls in order from most desired to least desired, that would be great. That would help prevent any overlap of girls. You have all the time you need for this, but the sooner you give me your lists, the sooner the models will be chosen, and the sooner you can begin the final challenge. The choosing order will be La Cha, then Lana, then Effie. La Cha will choose one girl, then Lana chooses a girl, then Effie chooses a girl and that will repeat until you have all 12 girls.

Quick question...are we allowed to use models who have already been used in this competition?

FINAL MODEL SELECTIONS *Heidi and all the models come in* Heidi: Hello final designers! As you know, you just saw 100 models and you each need 12 models for your runway show. You've been assigned the girl that you worked with on the last challenge as your first model so Anabela, Vlada, and Alana, join your respective designers. *they join them* You each have 11 girls left and La Cha, you have the next pick. La Cha: I'm going to choose Arizona Muse. Lana: I would love to have Maryna Linchuk. Effie: I would like to have Joan Smalls in my show. *the choosing continues and the final rosters look as follows* La Cha: Anabela Belikova Arizona Muse Liu Wen Melodie Monrose Marcelina Sowa Jac Jagaciak Daphne Groenveld Saskia de Brauw Magdalena Frakowiak Constance Jablonski Bianca Balti Sessilee Lopez Lana: Vlada Roslyakova Maryna Linchuk Josephine Skriver Caroline Trentini Abbey Lee Kershaw Anna Selezneva Aline Weber Meghan Collison Cara Delevingne Zuzanna Bijoch Rasa Zukauskaite Ashley Smith Effie: Alana Zimmer Joan Smalls Karlie Kloss Britt Maren Anais Mali Liya Kebede Anja Rubik Frida Gustavsson Lindsey Wixson Ginta Lapina Marique Schimmel Sui He Me: Tell me if there are any overlaps. I'm pretty sure there aren't any, but I could have missed something. Also, when you send your final collection, it should have some relation to the ad and you should send the designs in the order that you want them to appear on the runway.

Also, the girl from the competition (Anabela, Vlada, or Alana) does not need to open the show.

Exactly how similar/cohesive do the designs have to be with the ad? I'll try to send everything by tomorrow night, but if not then I should have everything in by Saturday afternoon.

You don't have to make it identical, but just think of it as this is the line that will be sold by that ad. It shouldn't be something completely different, but I should be able to see the similarities.

I'm almost done with finding all the outfits, but I still have a few more to find and then I have to make the final decisions so I won't be able to post until tomorrow night I think, but I'll try to get as much as I can done tonight.

Effie: *in confessional* Well, this is it! I can't believe it's all almost over, what a wild ride this has been. I really, really hope I win, I've never wanted anything more in my life and I really truly do believe I deserve this. I know the past two weeks have been rocky for me, but overall I have held very strong throughout this competition and not once has Heidi actually disliked a single design of mine, and I hope this week is no different. I did take some risks in terms of the types of materials and different styles I used, but overall for the finale I decided to stick to my strength and stick to dresses, which will match my ad and it all flows together nicely I think.
La Cha: *in confessional* Phew, this finale week was so much work, but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end! After the prompt was announced, I looked at my ad and realized I might have screwed myself over since there was not nearly enough time or resources for me to hand-paint all the designs, so instead I just used the concept of pairing something simple with something dramatically detailed that I used in my ad. I also really liked the golden color of the skirt in my ad, so for many of the outfits I did a draped in gold motif, and in one outfit I decided to go into full detail to show that I don't absolutely need something simple for balancing. So hopefully everything works out well!

Lana *confessional* I know im the underdog going into this finale. I mean, ive never even won anything. But my goal is just to have fun and have people enjoy my collection, regardless of whether I even win. I felt like the blazer was the key piece in my ad so I really wanted to incorporate jackets and blazers into part of the looks, but I also wanted to put in skirts, shorts and dresses as well. I didnt want to just show the same looks throughout the whole thing. I wanted to represent all aspects of my designs, from edgy, to something more fun and elegance and glamour as well; while sticking to my main color palette of blacks, whites, and soft pinks.
