Welcome to your first judging panel in determining who will become America's Next Top Model. Things this cycle are revamped once again. Last cycle was the top rated show on UPN so we've been given even a bigger budget. You want to here the fabulous prizes? *the girls scream* The winner will receive a contract with Ford Models a fashion spread in Elle Magazine, and a $100,000 contract with Covergirl Cosmetics. This week we flew you girls out to the wonderful island of Jamaica for your first photoshoot. You girls had to pose in swimsuits with the Jamaican shoreline as your background. There were some outstanding photos this week so let's get to it. Photo of the week goes to...
Yaya! Ooh girl this shot is wearing me out! You reek elegance and royalty. You look like a strong African queen overlooking her kingdom. I couldn't have asked for anything more. This is a fantastic start Yaya, your final score was 14.
The next name I'm going to call is....
Kristi! Another fabulous shot! You girls really served it this week. In this shot your doing one thing that I always tell girls to do, which is posing the opposite of what one would expect. Your pose is something I would expect from a high fashion couture shoot so for you to do that in a swimsuit makes the shot ten times more dynamic. Keep this up and you can go far! Congratulations with a score of 16 you're still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.
The following girls are also safe:
Nicole with a score of 25
Toccara with a score of 32
Jennipher with a score of 41
Amanda with a score of 49
Julie with a score of 51
Cassie with a score of 57
Leah with a score of 60
Norelle with a score of 61
Eva with a score of 70
Will Ann, Kelle, and Magdalena please step foward...
You girls are probably wondering why I called you three up here. This week marks a top nodel first. We will be having our very first DOUBLE elimination. *the girls gasp* That's right, we only have room in the hotel for 12 girls so 2 of you will be going home tonight. The first girl I will call had the worst score of the week and will be eliminated right now...
Kelle. I'm sorry but you will not be America's Next Top Model. The problem the judges had with this shot is that your pose made you look extremely short and your face didn't look very modelesque. There was nothing in your shot that the judges liked and that's why we're sending you home. You do have potential though so I want to see you go home, find a local photographer, and practice. I'm sorry but with a score of 92 you have been eliminated.
Which leaves Ann and Magdalena.
Ann- This shot is just blah. Literally it looks like you just stood there and put your hands on your hips. There's no emotion in the face and that makes me question your desire to be here, which is a shame because you probably have the most potential here. Will you get another shot? *sees Ann crying*
Magdalena- When I look at you I see a fire, a desire to be here but the judges are questioning your talent. Honestly, you don't have the most potential and you were casted mostly because of your passion for modeling. Like Kelle your pose made you look extremely short and your face in this shot is not appealing. Will your passion save you?
By a mere margin of one point, the girl who is still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model is...
Ann. Right now I'm not sure how much you want to be a model, but I know that you love to win so I have no doubt in my mind that you will give it your all next week. Will that be enough? Who knows, but we couldn't overlook your potential. You have IT, we just want to see your potential being used in a photo. With a score of 83 you are still in the running towards becoming America's Next Top Model.
I know that you wanted this SO much, but right now we don't think you're ready to take on this industry. Like Kelle I want you to go home and practice because with your drive I'm sure you'll find your market in this industry. Magdalena, I'm sorry but with a score of 84 you have been eliminated.
