Judging
Carmen: Hey ladies, and welcome to your 8th week of judging. This week you had to show your commercial side by shooting cover tries for Seventeen Magazine. Constance: The styling is a bit mature for Seventeen, but the face is great. You're really connecting with your eyes and you have a beautiful smile. The overall energy is good, I just wish it was a little more youthful. Fatima: Your smile is so radiant and you look stunning. Seventeen has different types of issues, like makeover issues, so even though I was looking for more of a typical Seventeen cover, selling cosmetics can also work when it's done in such a commercial way like this. It's another beautiful photo from you. Josefine: This is really cute, Josefine. You don't have the perfect smile, but it makes me smile and it resonates warmth and joy and is so endearing. The styling is totally fitting for the client as well. It would definitely appeal to a teenage audience. Karmen: I wasn't sure about this photo at first, but it actually works really well. It's modern and chic with just the right amount of commercial appeal to work for Seventeen. It's not over the top bubbly, but you certainly look approachable, not to mention gorgeous. Just a little more energy would make it perfect. Liya: The pose isn't what I'd expect to see on a Seventeen cover, but you do look very youthful and like you're genuinely happy. It's cute and fun and even though you are the oldest girl here, it doesn't show. Miranda: Your smile looks like it comes from within and isn't forced at all. It's perfect for a teen audience and I like how you posed in a way that shows off the dress as well. Ollie: You're more of a high fashion girl so I wasn't sure that you'd do well this week. You proved me wrong though because this is really adorable. You look fresh and stylish and you're smiling with your eyes. The hand is awkward but that's pretty much the only flaw. Rosie: This is so pretty and you look so fresh. You look like the popular girl in high school who every girl wants to be. You have a subtle confidence that makes this really gorgeous. Sigrid: You really struggled this week. Your film was just a mess. The styling here is perfect, but the expression is too hard instead of soft and approachable like you needed to be. I'm not sure that you can do commercial modeling. |

EliminationsCarmen: 9 beautiful girls stand before me, but I only have 8 photos in my hands. Overall, this was a pretty strong week. Photo of the week goes to..... *flips photo*Miranda! This would be perfect for Seventeen. Congrats! Josefine! You're stepping it up at the perfect time. Keep it up. Fatima! Rosie! Ollie! Liya! Karmen! Would Constance and Sigrid please step forward? Both of you started the competition pretty strong, but during the last few weeks you've both sort of faded into the background. So who stays? *flips photo*This was such a difficult decision but neither of you will be staying. Both of you have a lot of potential and as much as I love both of your looks, the two of you have fallen behind the other girls and I don't see either of you catching up soon enough. *hugs them both* Constance and Sigrid, I'm sorry but this is the end of the road for you. |

Hi girls, it's hard to believe there are only 7 of you left now. This week you'll have a runway challenge along with your photoshoot. For the runway challenge, I want to see strong walks while wearing clothing that represents your personal style. The winner will receive immunity which could be very helpful with so few of you left. Now for the photoshoot. I'm sure you all know that New York Fashion Week just ended and there were quite a few trends to be spotted. I want you to showcase one of the trends in your photoshoot. Challenge Winner Carmen: This week you all had a runway challenge showing off your personal style. You all did pretty well, but it came down to two girls. Liya and Miranda. You both had strong walks and I loved your personal styles. Only one of you can win immunity though... Congrats to....  LIYA! I loved your modern chic style and you looked great up there. You had a fierce strut and you owned it in the face too. Congratulations, you are immune from elimination this week and you will receive 2 extra points added to your overall score. |

Carmen: Hi final 7, and welcome to your last judging here in the states. After this elimination, 6 of you will be heading overseas. You all had to show off current fashion trends this week. Fatima: Your body is sick and the dress looks great on you. I also like how you're selling the accessories. The expression is a little subdued, but still very high fashion and intriguing. Overall, it's a strong photo. Josefine: Your film was just okay for me, and then you gave me this on your last frame. The expression is intense and sexy. I like the pose too but it is a bit modeling 101. Karmen: Your bone structure is just amazing and I really like how there's some mystery behind your expression. The pose is quirky and puts a nice twist on androgyony. Liya: Every shot in your film was useable. Your face is just incredible here. It's so intense and just mind blowing. The pose is powerful and it's just an amazing photo. Miranda: You look like a handsome young boy. I'm really drawn in by your stare. You look so soft, but your demeanor is still masculine. It's a simple photo but it leaves an impact. Ollie: It's a good photo but not an amazing one. Your expression is very serene and gorgeous. I think the pose is kind of expected for showing off your midsection though. A more interesting pose would take this to the next level. Rosie: The colors are eyecatching and you look so long and lean. I love the face and you look great in 3/4 profile. You look very chic, chill, and trendy. |
