CritiquesAlice: Work! This is amazing. This is so artistic and so modern. Your arms look so elegant and your whole body looks in control without being stiff. 10/10 Bianca: I can't quite put my finger on it, but there is just something about this that really draws me in. I love the pose, I love the outfit, and the way the light is hitting your face is insane. 10/10 Diandra: Lady Gaga? *giggles* The first thing that captures me about this photo is how tall you look. You have a lot of strength here, and your face looks great, even though you have sunglasses on. 10/10 Fo: The styling is good, but this photo just doesn't pop enough. I don't really have anything more to say. 8/10 Gertrud: I love the face, but for me, the body is a little disappointing. The way you are pulling your collar makes your arms look more like wings rather than arms. And you didn't push it enough with your curves which made your body look rectangular. 8.5/10 Lindsey: This to me feels like a very modern interpretation of the painting "Girls with a Pearl Earring." Your face looks so amazing, and it does have a very artistic vibe, just like I wanted. 10/10 Saskia: This is beautiful. This type of camera angle can be really hard to work, but you did quite well and made yourself look long and tall. Your face has a lot of emotion behind it and you're working your arms very gracefully. 10/10 Viktoriya: I thought you were going to be one of the girls to kill it this week, but this is a little underwhelming. The angle your face is at is beautiful and I like that you have your back to camera, but there is not enough light and I feel that there is a little lack of energy. 8/10 Yoanna: You had one shot that was stronger than this, but it didn't have that artistic vibe that I wanted. This is a good shot, but my main problem is your leg. The way you are kneeling on that tree stump does not work at all, but your torso looks amazing. 8.5/10 |

Eliminations
Karlie-Welcome ladies. The nine of you are competing for a 2-year contract with IMG Models, an international ad campaign for Prada, a cover and four page editorial in Vogue Paris, and a $250,000 contract with Covergirl. This week, you ladies had to show that you can create a strong and artistic photo. The results this week were fantastic, but one photo just really stood out....

Will Fo and Yoanna please step forward? Fo, you are a very unique girl. Beautiful freckles, and a beautiful face, and the shortest girl in the bunch. But I feel that you have just been coasting through the competition, and not really shown that you can be truly high-fashion. Yoanna, you stand before me because I am worried that you are just a beauty model. I am not sure that your posing is strong enough for you to make it as a supermodel. So who stays?
So prove it to me, Yoanna. Congratulations!

Karlie MailHello final 8! This week, you will be doing a photoshoot for an actual client, so this is the week to really bring it. Like last cycle, Seventeen Magazine is allowing three of you to appear in a Beauty Story. This photo needs to be smiley, friendly, and of course, modelesque. It can be full-length or a beauty shot, but either way, make sure it follows the guidelines for what the client wants. Good luck! |
