JUDGING
Liya: Hello lovely ladies! This week you ladies shot an editorial for Enchant magazine, and I wanted to see something mystical, ethereal, haunting, eerie, fantastical...you get the drill, I just want to see some magical photos this week, so let's get down to it, starting with Agyness.
Agyness: This is wonderful, Agyness. I like how you did something a bit more risque by posing as a sensual nun. I love the arch in your back, and though your neck is covered, I can still see quite the neck extension. You also have a beautiful profile, and I like the sensual expression, though I wish you had done something a little different with your mouth, and perhaps done something just a little more mystical, but overall great job.
Anais: I love this photo so much, it's the type of photo I'd hang in my house. You look like intertwined twin demons, perhaps planning your next scheme. Your pose is strong, your expression is strong, you look great, and overall this is a great photo, though I do prefer Melodie just a little bit, I think she looks a little better and her pose is just ever so slightly stronger.
Anne: Ooh, this gives me chills! I love this, it's so edgy and weird and haunting, exactly what I was looking for. I'm so happy you listened to my critique last week about bringing the piercing eyes to every shoot because your eyes are looking right through me here. I also like what you did with your hands, it adds to the eerie weirdness. I wish you had done something more with your mouth, but that's just nitpicking, this is a great shot.
Ashley: You had a few better photos in your film, but I think this one fit the best. This is very haunting. You look like you are trapped in a cave and you're giving up the struggle to survive and succumbing to your fate. I do think there could have been a bit more power to this photo, but overall good job.
Bianca: Your film dragged on a bit and got worse as it went along, but this is amazing. You look like a water nymph rising from the pond to take a peek at the terrestrial world, and there is a fantastic look of longing and melancholy that really tells the story. You also look absolutely stunning, your skin, lips, bone structure, and eyes look amazing. Fantastic job!
Candice: This photo is very intriguing; in front of me, you are so pretty and feminine, yet here you are androgynous and edgy. You look like an executioner taking a break after a busy day. Your pose is very laid back, yet your gaze is so piercing, it's an interesting contrast that works. My only big critique is the lack of neck, I realize you have a neck brace on but you still could've extended it more, and it makes your shoulders seem rather wide.
Carola: I had high expectations this week since you blew me away last week, but your film didn't quite meet my expectations. You did a good job this week, but nothing was really great. This is a beautiful photo and I love the racial ambiguity to it, but it doesn't have much of a wow factor to it. It is somewhat haunting, and there is a mysterious element to it that I like, but there is room for improvement.
Daria: You had some better photos in your film, but this is still fantastic and it fits the theme the best. You look like a pissed off sea goddess, ready to unleash her wrath on her ungrateful people. Your eyes are so piercing and I love the haunting and mysterious element to this. My only critique is that the lighting and angles make your body look a bit big, but overall this is great.
Dioni: Wow, that is probably the biggest dress I have ever seen! You are not letting it overpower you, but you are not quite working it to the fullest extent I think. You have a strong expression, but a little more intensity would bring this to the next level, and perhaps a little more tension and angles in the pose. Overall really good job, but just short of amazing.
Gertrud: I'm really glad you returned because you have been using your second chance to its fullest. I went back and forth so many times in choosing your best photo, I was stuck between this and your water photo. This is just phenomenal, it's simply bewitching. Your gaze is so piercing, your bone structure looking amazing, you are working with the lighting so perfectly to enhance the sense of mystery and intrigue, and that hand actually adds to the eeriness of this. Perfection.
Karlie: I really like this, I see some sort of futuristic witch backed against a wall yet also challenging anyone to come at her. I love the curves of your pose, it works perfectly for that dress, and you have a great connection with something in the distance though more power in the expression would have brought this up a notch. Overall great job though.
Melodie: I almost chose the same photo as Anais, but I decided on this one last minute because you took a big risk and I commend you for that. You look like a succubus or vampire who has compelled her victim, and you are licking up the blood off her neck and seducing her as she just stands there cluelessly. Your pose works well to tell a story, your bone structure looks beyond amazing, and your expression and tongue are so risky but the risk really paid off. Amazing job!
Nadine: Dang girl, your film blew me away this week! I was so torn for which shot to choose, but in the end I decided this one worked best. I love the story being told here, you look like an eerie witch seductress who entranced all these men to fall in love with you, but now you are getting smitten yourself. The pose, the face, the expression, the styling...everything about this photo just works so well, I love it.
Sui: I had high expectations for you because you have one of the best looks for a shoot like this, but you fell short. It's a beautiful photo and I like it for the most part from the waist up, but with such a flowy garment some motion would've made this amazing. The pose rather boring and model 101 though, and your expression isn't powerful enough to make up for that. It's a good photo, but compared the rest this week it's a bit of a let down.
