Judging
Carmen: Welcome to your first judging, ladies! Unfortunately for one of you it will also be your last. You all shot mock jewelry ads for Tiffany & Co. this week. We'll start judging alphabetically with Adriana.
Adriana: This was a really interesting way to showcase the jewelry. It has that elegance that a jewlery ad needs to have, but it is not without flaws. The eyes are stunning and I love how they appear to be fixated on something. The open mouth is what brings this shot down for me. It looks like you could be catching flies.
Anna: This is gorgeous, Anna. This would work so well as an ad for Tiffany & Co. You look regal, and I love the softness in your expresion. You have a great connection with the camera as well.
Anne: You had other shots in your film than focused on the jewelry more, but this shot fit the brand the best. Your expression is captivating and really draw me in. The simplicity works really well and adds to that timeless quality that some of their ads have. It's a beautiful shot.
Ashley: You look sophisticated and expensive and sell the jewelry very well. You have such a high fashion look, but you brought just the right amount of commercial appeal to this shot. It's a strong photo.
Edita: Wow, your face is just divine here, and the blonde hair looks amazing on you. I like how you are selling the bracelets in an interesting but not over the top way. I could definitely see this as an ad.
Isabeli: I hate that I can see up your nose, but other than that, it is a stunning shot. It looks very in the moment and you have a beautiful jawline. You draw attention to the earrings and it almost has that timeless quality to it.
Jasmine: You have probably the most commercial look in the bunch, so I was surprised to see such a different look from you. It could have easily gone too edgy since you were channeling Grace Jones, but the wink gives it a bit of commercial appeal.
Julija: You were one of my favorites during casting, and I expected you to do better than this. The bracelet isn't very noticable, and there's nothing too special about the photo overall. It's just average.
Karlie: Your expression is very alluring and the eyes really draw me in. Your looking over your shoulder adds some mystery to the shot as well. The hand looks a little awkward, but it works. It's a very ad-worthy photo.
Kendal: You look beautiful and I like the softness. Your face reads as insecure and unsure of yourself, though. You need to work on giving stronger expressions.
Marique: I see what you were going for, but it doesn't work all that well. There isn't much life in your eyes and you look tired. It seems like you are simply wearing the bracelets instead of selling them.
Meghan: You exude a subtle confidence, and you look beautiful. I just wish you would have given a little something extra.
Sasha: I notice the earring right off the bat, and the eyewear isn't too overpowering. It would have been nice if you were showing off the ring more, though. You exude elegance with a slight edge, and you know how to work your angles. It fits the client perfectly.
Toni: Your expression is very vulnerable, but you just need to be careful that it doesn't end up looking fearful. Overall, you look very chic and it looks like it could be an ad. I'm just not blown away.
