Jiana Davis
Field Couture
Jian will forever be one of the most underappreciated contestants by the judges in ANTM history. Week after week she got low-ball scores that kept her out of the top tier of competitors in the judges eyes. Like Marvin getting first-callout at the marriage shoot of Jiana's perfection (that shot probably would have made the countdown if Kanani wasn't so basic) is an absolute JOKE. This shot is stunning, but overlooked. Everyone has a hard-on for Nina's when I think she just got lucky with the styling. The blue dress was gorgeous and perfect for her coloring with her paleness, red hair, and bright blue eyes. It just made an extremely good composition so Nina just had to lay there and do the same face she always does. Jiana however got her dress out of JCPenney's prom COUTURE line. That dress came out of my ass, let's be honest. But she managed to make my feces look beautiful with the curve of her body, gentle legs, and graceful arms. And then you get to the face and this is where Tyra begins to wave her finger and say FIIEEERRRCCCEEE. It's perfection. Her jawline, bone structure, eyes, lips hair, skin, eyebrows all look perfect. The fact that Alex was the comeback girl is still not registering with me when a girl like Jiana could have easily gone top two with Jourdan (and still probably would have lost because Jourdan is queen).

Nude With Custo Barcelona Accessories
What I like about this shot more than any other shot that week is that it could actually be a fashion shot. If Custo Barcelona seriously considered selling that jank hat, this would be the ad for it. We don't have any drunken flamingo with two black eyes named Angelea, a piece of plywood wearing a dress named Krista, or a butt wearing a jacket backwards (WUT?) named Alasia. We just have a raw, beautiful woman fashionably covering her bits and selling a mirror after Brittany Snow's head was bashed into it in Prom Night (she wore the dress I shit out onto Jiana's body to let ch'all know) attached to a hat. The hunch, the legs, the skin, the eyes. It all comes together to create a beautiful photo. I actually wish this was her makeover because the blue hair kind of works for me. She looks miles better than when the casting shots were released and I almost lost my goddamn mind about her being cast.

Chantal Jones
Great Wall
I know a lot of people find Chantal grating with the whole "I was born to be a model" thing, but as a 6' tall, thin, blonde bombshell, I think I'd have to agree with her. I was such a Chantal stan during cycle 9 and still am to this day. The girl should have won, even with Jenah there, because she only took one bad photo in my opinion (her flower shot). I always saw her as a commercial girl and got nervous for every edgier, more editorial shoot and she always seemed to nail it, but even so, when this shoot came around, I was nervous for her. Then she slayed. In the group shot previously mentioned on the countdown, she slayed and in the individual shoot she slayed. She didn't need to over pose and fly through the air like Saliesha to get the message across. A graceful leap showed the 6' frame that she has and even lengthened it further. I love the arms as well. I love the one behind the head because it creates more shape and I love the arm reaching out because it almost looks like she's grabbing the spear out of the other soldiers hand to lead the charge. Her face has an intensity that can even be seen in profile which is great. When I saw this photo, I honestly gasped at how such a commercial-looking girl could transform in front of the camera.

Kayla Ferrel
Venician Statues
I was never a huge Kayla fan. Yes her story was touching and when she talked about being bullied and chose the word "free" as her power word, I got the chills. But I just never saw her as a model. Sources say she's 5'10, but I always saw her as a 5'7" or short 5'8". I guess it was her god awful proportions with those tiny stubby legs and long torso (or the fact that she always seemed to be near Ann...) Anyways, I always thought she took good photos, but then she turned this out and I was blown away. There is a stiffness of a statue, but the fluidity of the human body (mmm yummy.) The body positioning, the arch of the back, the arms gently placed, the neck extension, and the facial angle all just mesmerize me. She literally found the light perfectly to giver her more bone structure. But my favorite part of this photo is the eyes. They are completely black which gives me the lifelessness of a statue, but there is emotion there and that is what connects me to the photo. Plus the gorgeous background and setting just elevate the photo even more.

Chris Hernandez
Field Couture
I literally despise Chris. Everything from the boner of the RTVG community about him, to his sob-story personality, to his mediocre portfolio, Chris honestly has no redeeming qualities. Except for this photo. This is the one time where I look at him and see a model. I always questioned why he was cast due to his facial breakouts, psychotic eyes, and the fact that he was just a lot bigger and a lot less toned than anyone else on the show (yes Jeremy was bigger, but he had muscle). Chris just seemed huge to me and even appeared to have a little gut as displayed in his makeover shot. I never saw him winning. Anyways, onto the photo. He looks incredible here. He really lucked out with styling because it's so raw and edgy and his bleach blonde hair really fits that role for me. I love the chain-mail shirt with the dark leather. He did something so simple by just bending a leg and gazing into the camera with a strong look, unlike his normal crazy look. I thought that Chris' redemption (actually he probably redeemed the entire male cast with this photo since everyone else sucked so hard) deserved to make this countdown.
