JUDGING*the girls all enter the judging room for the first time, anxious and all hoping that they will be Mother Model's first Head of Household*
Carolyn: Hi ladies. Welcome to your first judging. Nervous?
*all of them nod*
Well don't be because even if your shot is god awful, you're fate is not necessarily in my hands. It's in your own hands and in the relationships you've built. Annndd in the HOH's hands. That Head of Household, the first of the season, will be crowned shortly after we take a look at all of your photos. We will go in order in which your were cast which means, Jac, you're first.
This is absolutely gorgeous Jac and a great start to the competition. You really proved why you were cast first. The way you tilted the head back to bring your jawline out of the water is great and it really shows that even at awkward angles, you can still look beautiful. I love how you brought up the leg to show some skin. Meanwhile, you're selling everything in the shot which is the model's job. My one critique would be the hand caressing the neck. It looks a little bulky and ungraceful.
I really like this, Katya. Is it mind-blowing? No. But it's a solid start to the competition. I think you did something a little quirkier with the body shape which I commend because most girls just went for the graceful, ethereal look. The face is really love-hate for me. At first I loved the closed eyes because I felt a dreaminess, but it also can come across like you weren't ready for the shot. I do think the body position does look great, though.
I'm really shocked at how poorly you did this week, Patrycja. You were one of my favorites during casting, but nothing was working this week. I felt like you were too focused on making the dress look flowy and beautiful, which is great since that is your job as a model, but you also need to look good in the picture. Your eyes, I can't tell if they are open or closed, it looks like you have no bone structure, and the arms are very awkward. The dress does look great, however. I do feel like you were saved by the dress.
I compared you and Patrycja during casting, Meghan, but you really showed that you were the stronger of the two this week. This is a fantastic shot, Meghan. You went a completely different direction and did something more edgy and unique. I love the pose and how even though you're scrunched up, you still come off as tall. My favorite part is how you're looking over your shoulder, yet your neck still looks super long. And on top of it, your face look amazing. They eyes, the slight snarl. It's all very Amy Winehouse and beautiful. Fantastic job.
(It wouldn't let me save the shot to edit)
I think this is a great photo, Ginta. I really like the energy you brought. The shape is great, the motion is great, and I love your facial expression. It's like a gasp, but fiercer. You worked with the styling amazingly. That coat must have been so heavy when it was wet. Normally I'd think that having bleach blonde hair and pale, pale skin would look washed out, but with the energy you brought, there is life.
Gorgeous, Bregje. It's just beautiful and something I didn't really expect from you. It's very soft and elegant and I was expecting something a little sexier from you. Your body and legs look great in that dress, albeit a little short. I love the arms up and how it looks like you just threw them up viciously. The face is also beautiful, but a little more tension overall in the face and a little more power in the eyes would have made it perfect.
I was not impressed with you on set, Britt. It took a while to get this and it still isn't amazing or what the photographer really wanted. You kind of look like you drowned almost. You didn't do much pose-wise here, so it is a little boring. The face is alright, but like I said before, you look like your drowned. I do like the hair though and it is a pretty shot overall.
Karmen, this is very elegant and almost dance-like which really works for me. It's almost like a romantic tango in the water. I love how you made the dress flow and your face looks beautiful. There is a soft intensity there that is very alluring. I do think you need to watch your hands, though. They look very claw-like. Try to make them more elegant next time.
I really, really like this shot, Taryn. My eyes instantly go to your face. There is a connection in those eyes to something off in the distance which is great because a lot of girls have trouble making a connection when they aren't looking at the camera. I think you could have done more pose-wise, but it almost works in your favor because what you did made the dress almost mold into the pool water which is a cool effect.
I find it really boring, Tara. You really just floated there. You didn't really do much at all. I love how the pool water reflected through the skirt of the dress because it showed off your beautiful long legs. I think part of the problem with this shot is that you didn't find the light with your face. It's in the shadows and doesn't draw my attention. I'm too busy looking at the legs.
The first thing I did when I saw this shot was went back and checked your measurements to see if I missed something during casting, Olga. What I thought I missed was you being plus-sized. But you're not so that's not a good thing. The way the dress fell on you in this shot made you look a lot heavier than you are, but it's not the dress' fault. You needed to make sure it looked great on you. Facially, I love the sensuality, but you also look a little mature which is already a problem since you're the oldest girl here. I cast you hoping that it wouldn't be an issue, but it already seems to be.
Georgia, that pose is amazing. I love it. You sell the dress, you look hot, your legs look great, you sell the shoes. Everything about the body is perfection. But your face ruins the photo, for me. I get you have this gap and it could be a signature thing, but here it doesn't work. Something about the face just comes across as very redneck to me. And when you're wearing Versace, you can't be looking redneck. There is something lacking in the eyes and I'm not loving how the hair is falling. A+ for the body. C- for the face.
I was not expecting this from you, Kendra. I was expecting to see a soft, youthful, ethereal look, but you brought some raw sex appeal and I really like it. Your body looks great, though I wish you gave a slight arch in the back to make it a little more interesting, but your face is what sells the photo. Your jawline looks much stronger which takes you out of the pretty girl look. It shows that you may be more versatile than I thought you could be.
Well ladies. I need to review your photos and decide who will be receiving the Head of Household position. I will call you back in a few moments.
