Judging Liya: Hello ladies, and welcome to your fifth judging here at The Couture Kingdom. This week your photoshoot was all about subtle sensuality as you all shot nude or in swimsuits/lingerie at a river in the morning. I wanted to see serene, ethereal, sensual, editorial photos this week without anything over the top in terms of sex appeal. Let's see who rose to the challenge, starting with our High Queen Lily. Lily - Wow, this is breathtaking! I love almost everything about this photo; the pose is very dynamic with the twisted torso and spread out arms, and I love the wind in your hair. Your face looks stunning and your bone structure looks perfect at this angle, and there’s a sense of longing to your expression that I love. The only critique I have is that I wish you had fit the styling better, though sheer fabrics aren’t too far from the brief. Kelsey - You had one of the hardest locations to work with, but you used that to your advantage because this is a strong shot. The pose is a tiny bit stiff but I love how you laid down and arched your back over the rock, that combined with your graceful hand create a casual yet sensual image. I also love the serenity in your expression and you have such a wonderful connection with the camera. My only big critique is that your face doesn’t look nearly as extraordinary as usual, though I do like the slight androgyny to it. Olga - This is a very stand-out shot, I like it! I first of all want to commend you on being one of few girls to go fully nude. Your body and skin look great, and I love the vulnerability of your pose. There’s also a nice vulnerability in your face too and you have a great connection with the camera, and you look so unique, very ethereal and alienesque and out of this world. My only critique is that I wish you had actually brought a little more sensuality and sultriness, but overall very well done. Sasha - This is beautiful Sasha. There’s a real story being told through your emotion, you’re conveying sadness and vulnerability while still being sensual and sultry. Your face looks absolutely gorgeous at this angle and I like the curve in your body and angle in your arm. I do think your body looks a little emaciated though, but other than that I can’t find much to critique. Magdalena - This photo is absolutely gorgeous, but not 100% what I was looking for. You do look so stunning here, your skin, body, face, and hair are all to die for. You also have a great arch in your back and brought plenty of sensuality and sultriness, but it is a little sexier than I wanted. It strikes me more of an ad campaign when I wanted an editorial if that makes sense, and you failed to meet the styling requirements. It is a beautiful and dynamic photo though. Mackenzie - I’m not really sure what I think of this photo; part of me loves it, but part of me isn’t sold. I do love the arch in the back and how everything about your pose flows like the waterfall behind you, and your hair and face both look amazing. I just don’t think you’re bringing much with your expression which is disappointing because I hoped for this to be a more expressive shoot, and I feel like the overall angle of this shot is a little awkward. Katrin - This is gorgeous, Katrin, glad to see you stepping your game back up. I love how you’re rising up out of the water with so much emotion in your face, it reminds me of a rebirth almost. I love the arch in your back and the sensuality you brought with your arms and expression, and your face also looks beautiful. I do wish you had fit the styling better though. Alice - This is amazing, Alice, exactly what I was looking for. It’s very ethereal and serene with a hint of sensuality, yet also a little haunting and eerie. Your skin and bone structure look wonderful and your body looks fantastic with the curves you created. Your expression is also very solemn, melancholy, and vulnerable in a way that works. The only minor flaws are that there is too much strain in your neck and your lips are too pouty, but those are very insignificant. Isabeli - It’s such a shame that you were late because this photo is basically perfect. Being completely nude like that could easily have made this go too sexy, but you brought the perfect amount of sex appeal without crossing the boundary. Your body and skin look amazing, I love the arch in your back, and your face looks so gorgeous. There’s also a great serenity in your expression that I’m liking, the only flaw I can find is that your eyes are looking in different directions. Joan - This is a very beautiful shot, but I think you also slightly missed the mark. Everything about you looks fantastic from your skin to your body to your legs to your face, but I feel like you are resting on those features. I really wanted to see you emote and bring something more to this shoot; like Magdalena, it’s kinda like an ad campaign when what I wanted was an editorial. There is a soft vulnerability to your expression that kinda works though. Ollie - This! This is what I was looking for last week, where was this? I think you look like a divine river nymph basking in her dominion. Your body looks incredible and there is so much sensuality in both your expression and your pose, and I love the dynamic angles of your arms. I do wish you hadn’t turned your face up quite so much and the styling could fit the theme more though you can get away with sheer fabrics, but overall great job. |

Results Liya: Welcome back ladies. After some further deliberation and adding up your scores, a new hierarchy has been established. Remember, each week your photoshoot score is added to your average score, and from that we determine the hierarchy of classes and then the High Queen has the privilege of electing the peasants to eliminate. This week I was pleased with the overall results, which were fairly close with a few outliers on either end. Now, without further ado, bow down to your High Queen... LILY! Congratulations on becoming the first girl to maintain High Queen status for two consecutive weeks, Lily! You once again have the privilege of nominating the three peasants for elimination. Joining Lily in the Royalty class as our Princess this week is... ALICE! Congratulations Alice, you worked your way right back up to the top this week with your wonderful photo. You are our Princess! And now for our member of the Clergy... OLGA! I see that not much has changed this week in terms of power; you are our divine Priestess for the second week in a row and thus have the power to bless one peasant for salvation. Congratulations! And now to our Noblewoman...yes, I said Noble woman for that class is singular now... SASHA! Another position that has not changed; congratulations Sasha, you did quite well this week! And now on to our Commonfolk... OLLIE, KELSEY, AND ISABELI! Congratulations on working your way back up Ollie, continue on this path and you will be at the top in no time. Kelsey, I am sorry to say you have unexpectedly dropped in the rankings despite a great performance, which goes to show how close both the averages and performances were this week. And Isabeli, congratulations on rising out of the peasantry but had you not been late, you probably would have been High Queen. And so that leaves us with our peasants... KATRIN, MAGDALENA, JOAN, & MACKENZIE. Katrin, I am surprised and sorry to say that you moved down, which goes to show how something simple such as styling can bring you down I guess, and that message goes to you as well Magdalena. Joan, I am sorry to say that you failed to move up, and Mackenzie, I am sorry to say you are back at the bottom. Now, Lily and Ollie, you both know the drill. Lily, send me the names of the three girls you wish to nominate for elimination, and Ollie, send me the name of the lady you wish to bless. |

Trial Liya: Order in the court, order in the court! Royal court is now in session. We stand here today at the trial of the Peasants, who committed crimes of the most heinous manner...fashion crimes, that is. Before me stand the defendants--Katrin, Magdalena, Joan, and Mackenzie--as well as the plaintiff, High Queen Lily. Now, to begin our court, one woman has already been proven innocent and will be removed of all charges, and that girl is... MAGDALENA! Magdalena, Queen Lily and I both agree that your photo and your history did not justify your elimination this week, so your evidence has been thrown out and you have been proven innocent. Congratulations, you may rejoin the other girls. So now that leaves us with Katrin, Joan, and Mackenzie. May I see the rest of the evidence? *Liya is handed the evidence* Yes, well...wait, what? What is this photo doing here? What in the world was I thinking? Clearly she is innocent! Indeed, one of you shall instantly be cleared of all charges, so congratulations... KATRIN! Katrin, I don't know what has come over me, perhaps a divine intervention, but suddenly I cannot recall why you were even on trial to begin with. You have been cleared of all charges and you are free to join the other girls. So now we are left with Joan and Mackenzie. It is a real shame to see both of you here, especially since it is not your first time. Joan, you started off this competition so well and quickly rose in the ranks, but recently you've hit a rough patch and your fashion crimes have been growing in number. Mackenzie, you were the last girl cast and you started at the very bottom, but you have been steadily rising...up until this week, that is. So which of you can bounce back? There is equal evidence against you both... ...so for the first time, a secondary trial must be held in which I will give each of you a final chance to clear your name. The two of you will now be brought to the dungeon where you will have a pose off, and in the end one of you will emerge. You only have one frame, so choose wisely; you may go for whatever look you want, but make sure it is strong, powerful, and leaves an impression. |
